Having any plan is better than no plan, but a RAID 1 setup, external hard drive, DVDs, network storage and online storage are all readily available, just make sure to backup regularly, and if it doesn't happen automatically, then it probably won't happen at all.

I just use an external hard drive. I used to back up to cds but who knows how long that media will last. then my hard drive died and I lost...EVERYTHING. anyway, this is great!

I agree on this comment! It is really hard to select the right computer that are affordable. Cheap computers nowadays lacks some specs so you will definitely need to find and budget wise computer.

So, I know this is for a feedback messages, and I am sorry, but I have no input. I do, however, have a Question or two. I am going into my Senior year of High School and we have a laptop from the mid 90's, one of the old monsters. It can't even dowload iTunes. I really am in need of a decent laptop for schoolwork and for a fairly minimal amount of music and a decent amount of pictures. I'll have to pay for the majority of this computer, so cheap would be helpful. I know nothing on the subject, so PLEASE help me.
